FEATURED INSTRUCTOR – KAREN SELINGER
When Karen Selinger began exploring the art of water marbling, she knew she had stumbled upon something special. Beginning as a hobby, Signature Silk Scarves was founded in July of 2017 when Karen determined she couldn’t just keep the fun all to herself Water Marbling has mixed her love of art and creativity with her favorite fashion accessory, the scarf.
Since then Karen has been bringing this ancient art form to the greater Edmonton area through markets, workshops, and home parties. This past summer, Karen was found at Jazz in the Park, Leduc Art Walk, Barr-tizan Arts Festival – Barr Estate Winery & the Strathearn Art Walk. As well, Karen has coordinated workshops with the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.

WATER MARBLING – INSTRUCTOR: KAREN SELINGER
An introduction to this centuries-old art form. Learn basic water marbling techniques while creating a unique, one-of-a-kind design. There are no special skills required, only the willingness to experiment and have fun! You will be guided from start to finish as you explore the art form and create a beautiful 14” x 72” silk scarf.
