WE Seniors Presentation Events

WE Seniors offers presentation programs designed to keep adults 55+ informed, connected, and supported in everyday life.
These sessions—delivered through both our Active Aging Series and Toonie Talk programs—feature engaging guest speakers and practical, easy-to-understand information on topics that matter to older adults.
Each session is community-focused and includes time for questions, discussion, and informal conversation in a welcoming environment.
Active Aging Series
The Active Aging Series is an educational program featuring professionals and Friends of WE Seniors who share practical knowledge on topics that matter most to older adults.
Each session focuses on a different theme such as:
- Health and wellness
- Safety and fall prevention
- Financial literacy
- Caregiving and support services
- Nutrition and healthy living
- Community resources
A key highlight of this series is that we often feature 2 to 3 presenting organizations per session on the same theme. This allows professionals to share different perspectives and expertise, giving seniors a more well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of each topic.
- Tuesdays or Thursdays (occasional Wednesday sessions may apply)
- 1:45 PM – 4:30 PM
- Community Cafe, WE Seniors – 9629 176 St, Edmonton
- $3.00 for everyone (includes coffee & snack)
Toonie Talk Series
Toonie Talk is a shorter, focused presentation series featuring one guest organization or business per session.
Each session highlights a specific service, program, or topic of interest to seniors, delivered in a simple and conversational format.
