Whether your loss is recent or years past, you’ll find understanding hearts and meaningful connections here. Together, we’ll support one another, form new friendships, and take steps forward with strength and grace.

NEW!! Thursday, November 19, 11:30 am – NEW! The WE Seniors Center is not able to accommodate us at our usual meeting on this date. We’ll meet instead for lunch at Jumbo Dim Sum Restaurant, 10451 – 170 Street, at 11:30 am. This is always a great time for visiting and adventuring with some new and familiar Chinese foods. It’s an experience!! The food is excellent, and the company will be great. For those who have not tried dim sum, it’s a wonderful adventure to try something new and delicious. Lots of shrimp, pork, and other goodies. As we usually do when we go for dim sum, the final bill will be totalled and then divided equally among those of us who attend. It’s usually somewhere around $20 per person, depending on what we order. Please let me know if you’ll be able to attend so that I can get a table that will accommodate all of us. Thursday, December 3, 1:30 pm – we will meet on the first Thursday of December (instead of the third Thursday as we usually do). The WSAC choir has agreed to join us for this occasion to help us get into the Christmas spirit with a program of carols. If you have a favorite baked Christmas treat, bring it along (if you didn’t bake it, we won’t tell)! We will be collecting materials for Hope Mission to help in their initiative to keep our unhoused friends warm and well during our cold winter. Let’s gather the usual goods – hats, scarves, gloves/mitts, socks (especially socks!), new or gently used sweaters or jackets, small bottles of shampoo, bars of soap, women’s hygiene products, disposable razors, small individual packets of dry foods (crackers, cookies, chocolate bars). You may also donate by cash or cheque, payable to “Hope Mission”, once again, sealed in an envelope with your name, address, and telephone number on the outside so that Hope Mission can send you a tax receipt). I’ll take all of the donations to Hope Mission on December 3 after our gathering.
