Please join members of the Westend Seniors Activity Centre’s Book Club on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, for a lively discussion of A Tale For The Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. The ‘Tale’ unfolds when a writer on an isolated island finds a lunchbox – possibly debris from the devastating 2011 Japanese tsunami – containing a journal written by a 16-year-old girl. The writer is then pulled into the past, into the girl’s drama and her unknown fate.
