Partnering with Councillor Andrew Knack, this panel will explore how we age with the city.

How can Edmonton grow with the people within it? Aging is an inevitable reality – not only do people and communities change demographically, our buildings and infrastructure transform and shift over time.

Cities like Edmonton and a range of public-private stakeholders have a role to play in proactively thinking about investing intentionally in an age-ready future. Ensuring our urban infrastructure and services work across age groups – not only to build more inclusive, connected spaces but to also support economic goals for the city.

A panel of diverse urban thinkers will explore actions related to design, housing, multigenerational spaces, physical mobility, and efficient spatial forms – all to welcome and accommodate a diverse population of residents, and their needs, in Edmonton.
