WRITING GROUP FACILITATOR – Dale Margery Rutherford
Dale Margery Rutherford (pseudonym Margery Reynolds) is an author, freelance developmental editor, and writing coach.
After closing her bookstore and tea shop in Niagara Falls, Dale spent six years in creative writing classes under the tutelage of Brian Henry (Toronto), who is a 25+ year former editor at Random House. She has attended several writer’s retreats and workshops and has taken additional courses in editing and story development.
She has published two novels and is currently working on the third. Her Historical Fiction manuscript “Clara” is on the circuit in search of an agent and Commuter Lit has published two of her short stories.
Dale served as a judge for the Muskoka Novel Marathon Competition in 2021, 2022, and 2023 and was a judge for the Fifteen Stories High short story contest for the Niagara Chapter of the Canadian Author’s Association in 2021.
Mother of three and grandmother of two, she has recently moved from the Niagara region of Ontario to Edmonton. In her spare time, she loves delving into her family history, some of which provide background ideas and inspiration for her stories.
