Emergency Preparedness Week 2025
Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) is an annual, nationwide event coordinated by Public Safety Canada (PSC) in partnership with the provinces, territories, and other partners to encourage Canadians to become better prepared for emergencies. EP Week always occurs the first week of May, and WE Seniors is excited to announce we will be hosting our own Emergency Preparedness Week event this year!

1:30 p.m. – CPR AND AED AND BEING PREPARED
Presented by St Johns Ambulance
Come join us and learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of a heart attack, cardiac arrest, and what to do. Being prepared with first aid knowledge and a first aid kit will go a long way in helping save a life. The St Johns Ambulance team will also be doing a demonstration on how to use an AED machine.
2:15 p.m. – Make The Right Call

9-1-1 is only to be used in emergency situations, but if it’s not an emergency, what number do you call? Come learn about the emergency telephone system and learn things like:

Presented by The Edmonton Fire Department
Join us for an informative and engaging presentation led by a guest speaker from the Edmonton Fire Department as part of Emergency Preparedness Week! Learn essential fire safety tips and strategies to help you maintain your independence while staying safe. Topics will include:
