Theme of the Month: November is Fall Prevention Month
Did you know that November is Fall Prevention Month? Falls are the leading cause of injury in Alberta. Although they can happen at any age, the risk of falling does tend to increase as you age. In fact, 1 in 3 Albertan seniors will fall each year. If you are concerned about falling, we can give you tips on how to lessen your risk of having a fall.
Learn valuable tools to lessen your risk of a fall by taking these free classes and workshops offered by the Alberta Healthy Living Program of AHS. Click on the class name to learn more:
- Steady on Your Feet (Online) – Tuesday, November 19 & 26 from 1 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
- Getting Up and Down from the Floor Safely (Online) – Wednesday, November 27 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
