Stress is a natural part of life, but how we respond to it makes all the difference. Join us for Minding Stress, an engaging and practical three-part series designed by Primary Care Alberta, to help you understand, manage, and reduce stress through awareness, tools, mindfulness, self-care, and self-management.

Being Aware of Stress
- Identifying Stressors – Recognize the sources of stress in your daily life and understand how they impact you.
- Signs and Symptoms – Learn how stress manifests physically, emotionally, and mentally.
- Reflecting on Values – Explore how personal values influence your stress response and decision-making.
- Journaling – Use writing as a tool for self-reflection, gaining clarity, and processing emotions.

Using Tools
- Progressive Muscle Relaxation – Reduce tension by systematically relaxing different muscle groups.
- Breathing Techniques – Practice deep breathing exercises to calm the nervous system and manage stress.
- Thinking Strategies – Shift negative thought patterns to develop a more positive and resilient mindset.
- Visualizing – Use guided imagery to create a sense of calm and focus.

Being Mindful
- Grounding Techniques – Stay present and centered using simple exercises that anchor you in the moment.
- Mindful Meditation – Train your mind to focus on the present, reducing anxiety and improving emotional balance.
- Self-Compassion – Learn to treat yourself with kindness and patience instead of self-criticism.
- Mindful Eating – Improve your relationship with food by eating with awareness and intention.

Managing Self-Care
