OUTREACH PROGRAM PRESENTING: PANTRY N MORE
Are you or someone you know experiencing food insecurity? If the grocery bills are feeling like a mountain too tall to climb, we have some exciting news that promises to lighten your load. The Edmonton Seniors Coordinated Council, in a fantastic partnership with Social Prescribing, Hello Seniors, Pantry N More Care Centre, and Drive Happiness, is thrilled to announce the launch of a wonderful initiative to support our community—monthly grocery kits!
That’s right! Each month, Pantry N More Care Centre will provide a grocery kit tailored for individuals and families who might be facing challenges in affording groceries. And here’s the cherry on top: if you require your groceries delivered straight to your door, Drive Happiness is ready to assist! Now, getting the essentials has never been easier.
Here’s how to get started with your grocery kit:
- Reach out to our Outreach team at 780-438-1209 to book an appointment. We offer flexible meeting options—whether you prefer a friendly voice on the phone, a personal chat in person, or a video call on FaceTime, we’ve got you covered!
- Visit us at the Westend Seniors Activity Centre during our convenient hours:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Our dedicated Outreach team will conduct a needs assessment to determine your eligibility for the grocery kit. This is an important step where we’ll gather some key information about your family’s financial situation, access to food, and any special dietary requirements you may have to ensure that your grocery kit meets your needs. Don’t worry, it’s a conversation designed to help you, not to stress you!
Once we’ve completed the assessment, your request for a food hamper will be sent directly to Pantry N More. Keep your phone close because they will get in touch with you in just a few days with all the delightful details about your grocery kit.
