INTRODUCING OUR NEW TEAM MEMBER – SHELLEY KUNY
Shelley has many years of experience working in client services roles. After a lengthy career with Legal Aid Alberta, she decided it was time to make a change and in 2020, coinciding with the beginning of the Pandemic, she had the opportunity to pursue some long neglected hobbies and interests. She took time to develop her artistic skills and now takes time to create custom paintings for her family members. In the summer she spends many hours outside working on landscaping projects with her dog close by to remind her to take some breaks. Family is always top priority for Shelley and she enjoys spending quality time with her sons, husband and extended family on a regular basis.
Shelley is a lifelong student of the ways in which we can work towards living our best lives and believes we are all works in progress. Westend Seniors Activity Centre is a place that Shelley admired from afar in the past having heard great things about it. In the fall of 2024, when it was time to decide what was next, Shelley asked herself what kind of environment she would like to work in if given the choice of any. A positive and vibrant setting where people gather to socialize, learn and grow was the perfect fit.
