EVENT SCHEDULE

1:45 to 2:45 p.m. – From Cycles to Cessation: The Ovaries are the Architect of Women’s Health
Presented by Colleen Norris
This presentation explains how the ovaries and the hormone estrogen shape women’s health across the entire lifespan, not just during the childbearing years. Estrogen plays a vital role in protecting the heart, brain, bones, blood vessels, mood, and overall well-being. As estrogen levels change with age and menopause, symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep problems, fatigue, memory changes, and shifts in heart and bone health are not simply “normal aging,” but signs of real biological change that deserve attention. The presentation encourages women to better understand their bodies and feel empowered to seek informed, individualized care that supports healthy aging and quality of life.
Dr. Norris will lead a Q&A session from 2:45 to 3:15 pm to answer your questions and deepen your understanding of women’s heart health.

3:30 to 4:15 p.m. – Reducing Your Risk: A Practical Approach to Heart Health for Senior Women
Presented by Lisa Gerard, Primary Care Alberta
