You’re Invited to The Gathering Place

A compassionate community for widows of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds

Losing a husband changes life in profound ways—but you don’t have to walk this journey alone. The Gathering Place is a welcoming space where widows can come together to share encouragement, friendship, hope, and compassion.

Whether your loss is recent or years past, you’ll find understanding hearts and meaningful connections here. Together, we’ll support one another, form new friendships, and take steps forward with strength and grace.

Just come and join the group for great conversation, a few laughs, and the support we can give to each other.

MESSAGE FROM ELAINE ALTON – Leader of the West Edmonton chapter of Widow to Widow

Hello, friends. Don’t you love to feel that summer sunshine on your face? What a treat!

Here are some suggestions for events that might interest you . . .

Widow to Widow

Friday, July 3, 11:30 am. Let’s meet at Pat and Mike’s Restaurant, 17732 – 102 Avenue, for breakfast/lunch/brunch. Please let me know if you’d like to attend so that I can ask Ken and Hannah to set up seats for all of us. Phone me at 780 487 9034; email me at al******@***us.net or simply reply to this email (but please don’t “reply all”).

Friday, July 24, 11:30. Join me at Jumbo Dim Sum restaurant, 10451 – 170 Street for dim sum. It’s always a great time to try new Chinese dishes or to enjoy favourites. Please let me know if you’d like to join the group so that I can secure a table with seats for all of us. Note: we divide the total bill for our meal equally – it’s usually between $17 and $21, depending on what we order. Please call me at 780 487 9034; email me at al******@***us.net or simply reply to this email (but please don’t “reply all”).
