Rusty Musicians: Summer Camp

At WE Seniors, we love sharing opportunities that encourage lifelong learning, creativity, social connection, and joyful aging. Music has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and this Rusty Musicians: Summer Camp program may be a great fit for adults who want to reconnect with their passion for music in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Rusty Musicians: Summer Camp
July 8–12, 2026 | Ages 18+

Hosted at the Winspear Centre, this popular summer camp brings together adult musicians from Edmonton and surrounding communities for five days of rehearsals, learning, ensemble playing, and connection. Participants will receive expert instruction from members of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and other professional musicians, culminating in a performance on the Winspear stage.

This program is geared toward classical/orchestral music and instruments, making it especially suitable for musicians who have experience playing in concert bands, orchestras, or similar ensembles.

Whether you haven’t picked up your instrument in years or are looking for an opportunity to play with others again, this camp offers a fun and inspiring musical experience.

This year’s repertoire includes works by Brahms, Debussy, Dvořák, Mussorgsky/Ravel, Richard Strauss, and John Williams.

A conducting stream is also available for those interested in developing conducting skills through mentorship and hands-on rehearsal experience.
