Discover the Calming Power of Mahjong

Mahjong is somewhat similar to Rummikub, as both games involve forming sets and runs with numbered tiles while strategizing to outplay opponents.

Julia Roberts beautifully describes Mahjong as “the concept of creating order out of chaos based on the random drawing of tiles… it’s sort of like life.” The actress, who plays Mahjong with her girlfriends once a week, revealed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that she finds the game both relaxing and metaphorically rich.
