WE SENIOR’S MEN’S SHED TOUR OF ROGERS PLACE
On October 29, 2025, 11 members and guests from the WE Senior’s Men’s Shed went for a behind-the-scenes tour of Roger’s Place, home of the Edmonton Oilers.
The tour was fantastic and the guides were excellent. Our shedders learned a lot and saw much of the building. They were able to see the 99 Lounge which is filled with much memorabilia from Wayne Gretzky and the NHL. They also saw the the star lounge which is dressing room for acts and an area for the Oiler player’s families to go for home games.
The tour was over 2 hours so they were also able to go into the building and see the Zambonis, the game nets as well as the staging area for events. The highlight of the tour was being able to go into the player benches and go up to the broadcast areas. They even got to see the button they press to make the horn when the team scores.
The ended the tour with a visit of the museum where they were able to take their time and look at everything. All in all, the shedders told us that the tour was a fantastic outing. It was really enjoyable, moved at a reasonable and they highly recommend it to others who might be interested in attending.
