If you missed last year’s first In the Kitchen, we are back with new themes, recipes and nutrition resources. Whether you want to sharpen your kitchen skills, explore new dinner ideas, or simply rekindle your joy of cooking and eating, this series is for you—and anyone living with or affected by diabetes.
What’s cooking this year?
Marilyn and Katie are back by popular demand. Marilyn Smith, professional home economist and award-winning cookbook author, is your host. She’ll be serving up easy recipes and tasty ideas for appetizers, dinner and dessert. Registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator Katie Brunke will be on hand to answer your nutrition questions.

Diabetes Canada Virtual Education Program — Bonus Topics
Diabetes Canada’s virtual diabetes education program provides the option to learn practical, up-to-date tips and tricks at your own pace, and have your questions answered in six, live, online sessions facilitated by registered health professionals with expertise in diabetes management. The Q&A sessions come with access to videos on the basics of diabetes management.
The bonus sessions will expand on some of the basic diabetes management topics from past recordings. Each session will feature:
Evidence-based knowledge on the topic and practical tips.
Opportunities to ask questions about how to apply the information to your diabetes management practices.
The program content is most applicable to managing Type 2 diabetes, but could benefit others living with or caring for people with different types of diabetes.
