LESS SALT, MORE FLAVOUR

Did you know that sodium is a mineral found in table salt? It is also used as a preservative. Eating less sodium can help lower your blood pressure and reduce your risk of heart disease and kidney disease. Alberta Health Services also has low salt cooking classes available to provide meal ideas and explore ways to reduce salt intake by using delicious, lower salt substitutes and label reading.

We’re sharing helpful resources from AHS Nutrition Services to make mealtime simpler and healthier.

Check out these tips, ideas, and practical guidance!
