AGE-WELL will launch AGE-WELL AgeTech Discovery Day on October 1, 2026, to mark National Seniors Day, with technology awareness events held in nine locations across seven provinces and virtually, focused on AgeTech innovations that support aging in place and healthy aging.
These events will help older adults and caregivers discover innovations that can enhance independence, health and quality of life, while also creating opportunities to learn about and participate in research.
In-person events will take place in Prince George and Vancouver, British Columbia; Edmonton, Alberta; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Toronto, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec (which will host two events); and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, along with a national virtual session. All are welcome, and participation is free of charge.
Each event will include an introduction to AGE-WELL, information on technologies that support aging in place, presentations by local researchers, hands-on demonstrations of AgeTech innovations, and an interactive workshop on getting involved in research.

The Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta and WE Seniors Edmonton are excited to host AGE-WELL AgeTech Discovery Day in celebration of National Seniors Day, in partnership with the Pear Lab.
