The Friends of WSAC fee is $650.00 with $150 being applied to your table for Older, Bolder, Better

If you become a Friends of WSAC partner, you can also be a Friends of WESeniors Strathcona in 2025. There will be no cost to be a Friends of WESeniors Strathcona.

OLDER BOLDER BETTER: Westend Seniors

OBB is being held on the 1st Thursday in June each year and as a Friends of WSAC member you will automatically have a table at the tradeshow

Alberta Seniors Week event: WESeniors Strathcona

The Alberta Seniors Week event is held at The Agora in Sherwood Park. It is held the 1st Monday in June. As a Friends of WESeniors Strathcona, you will have the first opportunity to have a table at the event. Check back soon for more details.

ACTIVE AGING PRESENTATIONS

  • We host our Active Aging Series at both locations.  They have been a big hit with the seniors and both the attendees and our presenters like the format.  

  • They will run Monday mornings in Sherwood Park from 9:30 a.m. to noon and Thursday afternoons 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Westend Seniors Activity Centre.

AMAZING RACE

Our seniors have asked for it so we are bringing back our Amazing Race! This is an opportunity to have seniors visit your business.

LISTING ON OUR “FRIENDS OF WSAC” WEBPAGE

  • Each business has its own personalized page where we will feature your logo, bio about your business, and contact information including links to your website and social media.

  • Businesses are encouraged to post free downloads and other resources on their individual Friends of WSAC page.

  • This is a fantastic opportunity to promote your business as an expert in your field. The guest blog posts will be shared across our communication platform:
    - Westend Seniors & WESeniors Strathcona’s e-newsletter
    - combined they have over 5000 subscribers
    - 60% of subscribers open our e-news and

  • Facebook pages - shared on both pages with a call to action to visit our website to read the article. We will also promote if you have an upcoming presentation at our office

  • Westend Seniors monthly newspaper - you can have a full-page article in our paper.

  • Bulletin Boards - we have a RESOURCES bulletin board at our centre where seniors can read articles as they wait for the classes
