EAST COAST KITCHEN PARTY
New this year! WSAC’s East Coast Kitchen Party celebrates the vibrant culture, music and food of Canada’s East Coast, bringing a taste of maritime hospitality and fun.
Date: Friday, September 19, 2025
Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Location: The Gym, Westend Seniors Activity Centre
Cost: $12 per person if you are bringing a Crock or $20 per person if not
Reservation deadline: Tuesday, September 16, 2025
Food – take part in our Crock of Chowder cook off. Prepare your favourite chowder or soup or just come to taste everyone else’s concoctions. For those bringing their “crock”, please prepare 8 servings and a list of ingredients. Prizes will be awarded for the best 3 chowders.
Music – you bring the music! Bring your guitars, keyboards, ukuleles, accordions, fiddles, spoons, washboards and your voices to sing along. Everyone is welcome to jam together. We would love to hear some Celtic and maritime music but are open to whatever inspires you.
Dancing – Tracy Walters will be at the event to teach us a few line dances. Of course you are welcome to get up and dance at any time.
We will have some additional snacks and things to enjoy along with your chowder as well as a cash bar, 50/50 draw and some fabulous east coast prizes. Come on out and “Fill yer boots!”
