WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Each week we will meet in the Community Cafe at the Westend Seniors Activity Centre. We will have a quick update on the latest news for our shed and then we will do a variety of activities each month.
May 7th – Guest Speaker and then cards and pool in The Games Room
6:30 p.m. – Chatting with a Jack of All Trades
Grab a coffee and join other Shedders for a laid-back session with the pharmacist from Terra Losa Pharmacy. He will be talking about everything from staying on top of your health to practical tips that just make life easier.
This isn’t a lecture—it’s more like a conversation. You can ask questions, share your own experiences, or just sit back and listen. No pressure.
It’s a great chance to pick up a few useful tips, have a few laughs, and connect with other men who get where you’re coming from. We hope to see you there!
May 14th – Games Room – Poker Night (and games)
There won’t be any money involved but we might have a couple of fun door prizes up for grabs!
Come join the shedders for a fun night of cards. We will have some snacks out and it will be a great time to get to know some of the guys a bit better as you play.
Not into poker? That’s OK…we will have some backgammon and crib boards out. And if you have never played backgammon before, don’t worry, our coordinator Mark is ready to give you a quick lesson!

WHAT IS A MEN’S SHED
A Men’s Shed (or Shed) is a community-based organization that provides a casual space for men to connect, socialize and work on projects together that can benefit their community. In other words, men come together to tinker, tell stories and hang out for good fun and (often) good food!
WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT MEN’S SHED?
“SHEDDERS”
The name “Men’s Shed” comes from the idea of a backyard shed where you can go to make and mend. Men’s Sheds are like that, only you’re there together with others where friendships are built, knowledge is shared, and connections are made. It can be a community hall, an old warehouse, someone’s garage, or a virtual online meeting. Joining a Shed is easy, and they’re always happy to welcome new members — or as we like to call them, Shedders.
