NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION PRESENTATION – 2024 THROWBACK
Honoring the Past, Embracing Reconciliation
On September 30, 2024, we gathered to commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This important day honors the survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities.
A Powerful Presentation
We were privileged to have Chief Billy Morin share the inspiring story of Nahtokitohpi “Sacred Rider” at the Westend Seniors Activity Centre (WSAC). His thought-provoking presentation and Q&A session sparked meaningful reflection and discussion.
Commemorating with Community
We marked this significant day with Coffee and Bannock, symbolizing community, healing, and reconciliation.
Building Partnerships
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Chief Billy Morin to foster a partnership of learning and support.
Reflection and Commitment
As we reflect on the painful history and ongoing legacy of residential schools, we reaffirm our commitment to reconciliation and healing.
