Do you know about Giving Tuesday? Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement with the aim of encouraging people to give and celebrate generosity. This year, Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 is Giving Tuesday. Please remember WSAC on Giving Tuesday.
Why give to WSAC this year?
Our roots are deep in the community – we began because a group of engaged and ingenious seniors saw the need for a community organization that fit their unique interests and needs as they aged. They wanted to stay close to the community where they raised their families. They called themselves the Edmonton Self-Starters Organization, rolled up their sleeves, and got to work. Members like you built on that vision to create this organization. It now serves thousands of seniors in Edmonton’s west end ensuring they can access the programs and amenities they need to live happy, healthy lives here in their community.
We need your financial support.
Membership fees and revenue from programs only go so far – so we invite you to invest in WSAC with a donation of $45. If each member invests this amount, we’ll reach our goal…and then some!
Save on your 2023 taxes by donating to the Westend Seniors Activity Centre (WSAC) before December 31st, 2023.

- Monthly ongoing donations – Tax receipts are issued for donations over $10.00
- A one-time donation – Tax receipts are issued for donations over $10.00
- Purchasing products through initiatives like our Holiday Plant fundraiser
- Purchasing tickets for 50/50 draws and raffles
We’ll have other opportunities available during our 45th Anniversary Year. Any support you can give is appreciated! Your donation will keep WSAC healthy, strong, and here offering the great programs and services you love.
