Why We Created A Magazine
For 47 years, the Westend Seniors Activity Centre (WE Seniors) has supported adults agedv55+ in Edmonton and the surrounding communities with programs, events, resources and more.
In 2022, with investment from Strathcona County, WE Seniors Strathcona was created to be a one-stop shop — connecting Strathcona County’s older adults to local programs, services, and trusted businesses that will help them age in their own communities.
Through initiatives like our Active Aging presentations and the WE Seniors Roadshow — which brings free events and resources directly to rural communities from Josephburg to South Cooking Lake — we have met hundreds of seniors who told us the same thing: accessing information isn’t always easy.
That’s why this magazine was created.
It brings trusted resources, local services, and helpful information together in one place — so you can stay informed, connected, and supported, wherever you live.
We encourage you to save a copy (click the link below, or pick up a printed copy at one of our magazine boxes located around the County) and refer back to it often. Inside, you’ll find a wealth of information and local experts ready to help you age well.
