PICKLEBALL AT THE WESTEND SENIORS ACTIVITY CENTRE
WSAC hosts indoor pickleball sessions throughout the week with different levels and time options. Members who are interested in the pickleball program should contact the program staff in person or email pickleball@weseniors.ca for more information.
A current WSAC membership AND pre-registration are required. Participants sign up a week in advance.
The following are the guidelines for sign-ups and the cancellation process to ensure fair participation and efficient management of our pickleball sessions.
SIGN UP SYSTEM
- SignUpGenius is the system used for sign up through their APP or website. For this, we require an email address registered with us to receive pickleball information. Once registered with us, we will send a step-by-step procedure on how to register using this system through email.
- We require your email address where we can send you the link for the sign-up.
- Please register your email address by sending an email to pickleball@weseniors.ca and adding the email address to your contact list.
- Please indicate the subject of the email as “Pickleball Email Registration”. You don’t have to write anything other than the subject.
- A sign-up link is sent out every Monday at 9:00 a.m. for the following week.
- You are able to sign-up for ONE session a day to a MAX of TWO sessions a week.
- Duplicated sign-ups in one session are not allowed (and your second sign-up will be deleted).
- Couples need to sign up individually.
- Each session fee is $4.00.
- If you have any questions about sign-up or cancelling your sign-ups please send an email to pickleball@weseniors.ca or by calling 780-483-1209.
Daily after 9:00 a.m.
- Should there are open spots for the current day, you are able to sign up online to fill the empty slots for a third session (same-day booking).
- On the day that you are playing, if there are available slots for the 2nd session you can play both the 1st and 2nd session and vise versa.
To cancel your sign-ups:
- Use the system you signed up with initially.
- If the system doesn’t allow you to cancel the session, send a notification to pickleball@weseniors.ca or call the Centre at 780-483-1209 and we will cancel the session on your behalf.
Please note: non-compliance with the above cancellation policy will result in the $5.00 Pickleball Fee being charged to your WSAC account for the session(s) you neglected to cancel.

PLEASE NOTE:
- All games are doubles play – There is a maximum of 16 players per session.
- Games are played by the clock (11 minutes per game).
- Pickleballs are provided.
- This program is subject to room availability.
- Sessions may be cancelled for additional cleaning or special events.
- If members aren’t able to attend the sessions, they must cancel on their own or notify the program staff through email prior to the start of each session.
Level 2 Pickleball (Novice Pickleball) – $4.00/SESSION

Level 3 Pickleball (Experienced Pickleball) – $4.00/SESSION
- MONDAYS
- Session #1: 12:45 p.m. – 2:25 p.m.
- Session #2: 2:25 p.m. – 4:05 p.m.
- TUESDAYS
- 4:30 p.m. – 6:10 p.m.
- WEDNESDAYS
- 12:45 p.m. to 2:25 p.m.
- THURSDAYS
- Session #1: 12:45 p.m. – 2:25 p.m.
- Session #2: 2:25 p.m. – 4:05 p.m.
Level 2/3 Pickleball (All Levels Pickleball) – $4.00/SESSION
- WEDNESDAYS
- 2:25 p.m. – 4:05 p.m.
- THURSDAYS
- 6:10 p.m. – 7:50 p.m.
All levels pickleball is a chance to challenge yourself and fellow members while learning about the sport of pickleball. Both novice and experienced players are encouraged to play together, giving you the opportunity to play with and against new opponents.
