Assisted Waste Collection
The City’s Waste Services offers an assisted waste collection service for customers who have difficulty getting their recycling or garbage to the curb or lane. Staff can collect or help set out waste from outside the front or back door of the home. There is no additional charge for this service.
Curbside Collection
This service is for residents living in single-family homes or multi-unit buildings, who set out waste at the curb or alley for collection. Currently, collectors are available to pick up waste from the front or back door of the home. Residents can choose from 2 options based on their needs:
- The resident puts their waste in carts and bags. The collector will move carts and bags to the curb or alley for collection and return carts to their storage location.
- The resident gives the collector their waste from their home. The collector puts the waste in carts, sets out carts and bags for collection and returns carts to the storage location.
Please make sure your carts are accessible and set your waste out by 7am on the day before your collection day. This ensures that our collectors can move your waste to the proper set-out location for your collection day.
Apartment and Condo Collection
This service is for residents living in multi-unit buildings, such as apartments or condos, who put waste into a communal bin for collection. Collectors will pick up waste from your door and bring it to the property’s collection bin for disposal.
