Focusing on mental health, this session examines digital tools such as therapy apps, support platforms, and AI-driven chat services. Participants will learn how to assess the credibility and safety of mental health tech and understand the ethical boundaries of virtual support.
You will learn to:
- Navigate mental health support platforms, apps, and online tools
- Recognize misinformation and signs of non-evidence-based claims
- Understand personal rights and consent in digital mental health care
- Evaluate how privacy, data use, and algorithmic bias affect mental health apps
- Select tools that reflect users’ personal, cultural, and emotional needs
