Join TELUS Wise Seniors for tips on avoiding scams, protecting yourself from online fraud, and safely using apps, smartphones, and social media. The program aims to empower seniors to navigate the digital world with confidence.
ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Lorna St Thomas is the TELUS Senior Community Investment Manager for the Edmonton and Northern Alberta Region. She oversees the management and operations of the TELUS Edmonton and Northern Alberta Community Board, and TELUS’ charitable sector relationships. She is passionate about continuous learning and enthusiastically embracing the many benefits that digital engagement offers.
David Shrimpton spent 25 years supporting various technologies at TELUS. During this time, he was a member of the Canadian Coalition Against Internet Child Exploitation (CCAISE), and assisted law enforcement in tracking down individuals who were breaking the law via the internet. Since retiring he has become a “serial volunteer” and has recognized the need for more education on internet safety, particularly for the seniors demographic.
