Alison will share practical advice on what really matters when planning a dream trip, from timing, logistics, budgeting, and expectations to common mistakes that can derail your plans. You’ll learn how group tours, small-ship cruises, and independent travel differ, and which style may best suit your travel preferences and comfort level.

World Traveller, Entrepreneur, Wine & Spirits Aficionado. Travel has always been my first love. I was fortunate to turn that passion into a rewarding 40+ year career, working with airlines, tour operators, and in education—teaching both travel agents and students, while leading groups around the globe. At mid-life, a new adventure began. I moved from Vancouver to Edmonton and, together with my partner Grant, own and operate a Wine & Spirits store in West Edmonton Mall. Much like travel, the world of wine and spirits offers endless opportunities to learn, explore, and connect. Now, as I step back more from the day-to-day operations of the store, I’m rekindling my travel career—designing unique itineraries for small groups who want big experiences. I draw on decades of expertise to curate unforgettable journeys, while also sharing my knowledge through engaging presentations on the destinations and programs I love to promote.
