29th Older, Bolder, Better – 2026 Volunteer Positions Now Open!

Older Bolder Better is just over a month away and we still have many volunteer positions that we need your help with. You can do one shift or multiple shifts through the day. We also want to let you know that we will have chairs available for all volunteer positions, all volunteers will receive a free lunch that day and there will be shuttle buses available for transportation from and back to the centre.

We hope you will join us and experience and even BIGGER Older Bolder Better! You can sign up online through the form at the bottom of the page.

Break-Out Rooms

Duties

  • Ushering people to open seating for presentations
  • Ensuring coffee and water are refreshed and available
  • Assisting guest speakers by handing out resources
  • Clean up after attendees to prepare for next round of attendees

Shifts available

  • 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Greeters

Duties

  • Welcome people to the event
  • Direct attendees/guests to event areas
  • Hand out programs if necessary

Shifts available

  • 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Parking & Arrival Greeter

Duties

  • Greet drivers upon arrival at River Cree Casino
  • Confirm if they are attending the tradeshow
  • Direct traffic to the two main entrances
  • Assist drivers with placecards by directing them to reserved parking at the back (designated for those with mobility needs)

This role helps ensure smooth arrival flow and a welcoming first impression for all guests.

  • 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Shuttles

Duties

WE Seniors:

  • Direct guests/attendees onto River Cree shuttle busses from WE Seniors Edmonton
  • Check off names

River Cree:

  • Direct arriving shuttle bus guests/attendees at the River Cree to event spaces
  • Direct departing shuttle bus guests/attendees onto bus to return to WE Seniors
  • Check off names

Shifts available

Ticket Sales – Cashiers

Duties

  • Process ticket purchases
  • Assist in balancing sales at the end of your shift

Shifts available

Ticket Sales – Ticket Handlers

Duties

  • Ensure raffle ticket stubs are correctly filled out by purchasers
  • Provide information about raffle(s)
  • Assist in balancing sales at the end of your shift

WE Seniors Edmonton Info Table

Duties

  • Provide information about WE Seniors Edmonton’s events, programs and services
  • Volunteers should be knowledgeable about everything WE Seniors has to offer

    WE Seniors Volunteer: Directing people onto shuttle bus at WE Seniors, checking off names. River Cree Volunteer: Welcoming and directing shuttle riders at the River Cree, directing riders onto shuttle to return to WE Seniors, checking off names.
    Ticket Sales - Ticket Handlers
    Provide information about raffle(s), ensure ticket purchasers fill out ticket stubs correctly, assist with balancing sales at end of shift.
    Ticket Sales - Cashiers
    Process ticket purchases, assist in balancing sales at end of shift.
    WE Seniors Info Table
    Provide information about WE Seniors Edmonton's programs, events, and services, volunteers should be knowledgeable about all the things that WE Seniors Edmonton has to offer

Assist drivers with placecards by guiding them to the reserved accessible parking at the back of the venue. This role helps ensure a smooth and welcoming arrival for all guests.
