Community Spirit Gets the Job Done!

If you have taken a stroll on the deck recently, you may have noticed a bright, fresh new look—the deck painting is officially complete!
This wonderful project was set in motion thanks to May Frizzell, who successfully secured a grant to fully fund the repainting. With the funding locked in, the project quickly became a true team effort across our community.
We owe a huge thank you to the WE Seniors Men’s Shed, who generously donated their time and muscle to sand down the deck, getting the surface perfectly prepped. Then, on the morning of Sunday, August 29th, the more majic happened. May was joined by 13 dedicated WE Seniors Members—making a fantastic crew of 14—who rolled up their sleeves, picked up their brushes, and got to work.
The energy and community spirit were vibrant throughout the morning, turning what could have been a tough chore into a fun, rewarding gathering.
A heartfelt thank you to May, the Men’s Shed, and every single one of our 13 senior volunteers for your hard work and dedication. Your effort has given our shared space a fantastic facelift for everyone to enjoy!
The Volunteers on August 29th were:
Frank, Ken, Kent, Lorraine, Jackie, Shirley, Janet, Ryan, Dale, May, Belinda & Brian
We thank each and everyone of them for their time and energy in making our community the great place that it is!

Wrapping Up the 2026 Golf Season in Style!
What a season it has been! Despite a summer filled with relentless rain and a few flooded greens that kept us off the course more than we would have liked, the WE Seniors golf community proved that a little water can’t dampen our spirits.
We officially put a bow on the season with our annual Golf Wind-Up Tournament on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Deer Meadows. It was a fantastic day to celebrate our resilience, enjoy great company, and reflect on another memorable year of golf.
Heartfelt Thanks to Our Organizers & Members
This event wouldn’t be possible without the incredible dedication of Frank Coccimiglio and Dave Marshall. Their endless time, energy, and enthusiasm in planning and executing the Wrap-Up made it a resounding success. Gentlemen, thank you for everything you do!
We also want to extend a huge thank you to all our members who generously donated prizes for the event—your generosity always makes our wrap-up extra special.
