We are very excited to be offering a number of Try It Day classes and planning the outdoor classes.

Outdoor Classes Poll

Outdoor Try It Day

Come and join Janet Hauca on her outdoor fitness class as a Try It Day. This is limited to 10 participants. This will be held at WSAC’s deck area.

*Please note that in the event of bad weather, the class will be cancelled.

ICI (Interesting & Challenging Intervals)

  • Tuesday, June 8 from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm
  • Cost: Free

Description: This class uses the interval principle of alternative cardio activity with strength and resistance sets to achieve a new level of fitness.  Also included in the class are elements of:

  • core exercises,
  • balance work and
  • stretching.

 

Stretch & Strength

  • Tuesday, June 15 from 1:30pm- 2 :30pm
  • Cost: Free

Description:

The benefits of resistance training & stretching are second to none – this class caters to both! No matter your age now is the time to begin a no-impact program to help enhance muscular strength & endurance; meanwhile, you flex your aches & pains aside with a well-rounded stretching routine.

Online Try It Day

Online Total Fit

  • Wednesday, June 2 from 10:20 am – 11:00 am

Description: It’s time to turn it up a notch – an hour spent but not a minute wasted as this class will cover it all! Low impact cardio, resistance & functional agility, with a focus on balance & core strength. The warm-up will get you engaged & the cool-down will leave you feeling tension release. The fun never stops! Studies stress the vital importance of stretching – so join us and feel better!

Technology Series

 

Technology Series are all FREE now. Here are the upcoming technology sessions:

  • June 4 – Digital online gaming
    • Description: Free games that you can play with friends over an internet connection. There is so much fun to be had via Messenger, Houseparty and cardgames.io. They will teach you about apps on iPad as well as Android. Come and join us to learn and get busy having fun!
  • June 11 – Guide to digital/online Entertainment
    • Description: You will learn about YouTube and other streaming options, like Netflix during this course. Open the door to more of your favorite videos, movies and shows – all at your fingertips!
  • June 18 – How to buy a cellphone
    • Description: Tired of feeling overwhelmed at the cell phone store? Too many choices between Android and Apple? What kind of plan do you need? Should you buy your phone outright or go on a 2-year plan? We’ll be answering these questions and more in this presentation.
  • June 25 – How to buy a computer
    • Description: Ever wonder about what computer to buy? Should you get a laptop, a desktop, tablet, or a chrome book? What is a chrome book? What is the difference between an SSD and a hybrid drive? How many gigs of ram is good? We’ll be answering these questions and more in this presentation.
