This session explores what’s possible in a backyard footprint and what to expect when planning one in Edmonton.
Garden Suites 101 gives participants a clear understanding of what garden suites are, who can build them, and how they fit into today’s housing landscape. They’ll learn the key benefits for homeowners and families, from added living space to long‑term flexibility. The session walks through basic zoning rules, size limits, and placement requirements so people know what’s possible on their property. It also outlines typical costs, timelines, and steps in the approval process. Participants will see real‑world examples to spark ideas and build confidence. By the end, they’ll understand the essentials needed to decide whether a garden suite is right for them.

We want to introduce our Open House to men here in west Edmonton so we are hosting a BBQ. $5.00 for a burger, salads and a beverage. Bring a friend and help us introduce our shed to others!
