Wakefield Clare Valley Cabernet  Australia

Tasting Notes: Deep purple color. Fresh aromas and flavors of blackberry, plum, spearmint, chocolate silk pie, new leather, olives, and licorice with a satiny, vibrant, fruity medium-to-full body and an even, interesting, medium-length finish. A palate-pleasing, juicy Cabernet overflowing with fruit and herbaceous style. Exceptional. Best Buy. Ranked as the 2019 World Value Wine Challenge Top 10 Red. A very easy satisfying BBQ wine.

Gooderham & Worts Eleven Souls  Canada

Tasting Notes: With it being Canada’s birth month, I’m choosing a favourite Canadian whisky of mine. If you’ve been hesitant to try Canadian whiskies, this one is definitely sure to win you over. Gooderham & Worts has an inspiring story on the back of the bottle about William Gooderham adopting 11 children whose parents died during a migrating voyage. This delicious bottle is a tribute to those families and has been finished in 11 different barrels. The abv sits at 49%. It’s got beautiful colour and flavour making it a perfect little Canadian to bring to your celebrations. Cheers!

Three Finger Jack Cabernet Sauvigon  California

Tasting Notes: This Cabernet Sauvignon from Lodi is loaded with notable blackcurrant and black berry overtones. Aged for 9 months in a combination French oak and American barrels this delightful wine pairs oh so nice with grilled burgers, steak……Summertime and the livings easy! Scored a 92 in Wine Spectator.

Monte del Fra Crustoza 2019  Veneto, Italy

Tasting Notes: This is a delightfully different white wine to add to your summer menus! A fascinating blend of Italian grapes – 40% Garganega, 20% Trebbiano Toscano, 10% Tocai Friulano, 20% Cortese and 10% Chardonnay- Riesling Italico- Malvasia – combined to creat a dry, tangy and well-balanced wine. This lightly aromatic dry white wine is fruity with straw yellow and pale green highlights. Great mouthfeel, acidity and immensely satisfying. Try as an aperitif, or with fish and shellfish dishes, rice and pasta.
