DRIVE HAPPINESS

“Volunteering & Helping Others Never Grows Old”

Drive Happiness are huge supporters of the Westend Seniors Activity Centre.  Their team of volunteers deliver our Frozen Meal Program orders to seniors all over Edmonton and the surrounding area.

Come meet their team and learn more about

  • how you can volunteer to become a driver for our frozen meal program
  • driving seniors who need rides to their appointments,
  • their “donate a ride” program

Volunteering has never been so easy!  You’ll choose when and where you drive, receive a fuel reimbursement, and make a positive impact on your community!

They will also be handing out some goodies and have a fun door prize up for grabs!

DONATE YOUR BOOKS, WOOL, AND PUZZLES

Spring is here and that means lots of us are spring cleaning!  If you would like to donate some items to our centre, we will be accepting the following

SHARE YOUR FAVORITE RECIPE!

  • Do you have a recipe that is your “go to” recipe when you want something quick and easy?
  • Do you have a dish that your friends love and ask you the recipe for?
  • Share them with us!

We will be collecting your favorites and putting them all together to create the WSAC book of recipes!

3 REASONS TO SHARE YOUR RECIPES!

We did a google search for “sharing recipes” and found a wonderful article that outlined 3 Reasons Why Sharing Recipes is Important”:

  • Sharing recipes motivates you to try new, exciting foods.
  • Sharing recipes invites your friends and family to share back with you.
  • Sharing recipes connects you with people.

NAME THAT BOOK!

Have a fun name for the WSAC book of recipes?  We want to hear it!

  • Send your name ideas for our book with your recipe or
  • Email it to us at info@weseniors.ca

We will be collecting book name suggestions over the next little while and then have a poll to get our members to help us make the final name choice!  Share your name ideas with us…we will have a fun prize for the winning name!
