We have all heard of the John Walter Museum but do you know all that the museum has to offer? Come learn about the history of John Walter and the Waterdale community, the attractions at the museum and the fantastic classes and drop-in programs that John Walter Museum has to offer.
9:45 to 10:15 a.m. – Edmonton Public Library 101
Edmonton’s Public Library 101 – How long has it been since you visited a local library? Come join EPL staff as we learn about their programs and classes. Find out how to receive your library card, learn about the library’s app, hear about upcoming events, and more. Their mission… We Share! 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. – The Muttart Conservatory
The Muttart Conservatory, is one of Canada’s largest indoor botanical collections! Come learn about the Pyramids and the more than 700 species of plants in 3 climate-regulated biomes. Come hear about the unique themed displays, fabulous seasonal celebrations and their special drop-in programming that changes throughout the year.
11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – the John Janzen Nature Centre
A gateway to the heart of Edmonton’s River Valley, the John Janzen Nature Centre takes visitors for a walk on the wildside with programs, events, and interactive exhibits designed to promote awareness and engagement with nature in an urban setting. During this presentation, you will also learn about the Edmonton Valley Zoo’s activities that take place throughout the year, including their Daily Animal Talks where you will learn about the fascinating species that live at the zoo!
